Føroyar poster or posters, with the steep rugged cliffs that surround the blue water at the small natural harbor in Gjógv, form a spectacular narrow and twisted entrance, reminiscent of a cave where pirates could hide and wait for their prey.

When visiting the Faroe Islands, you must be prepared for all kinds of weather. However, we had the somewhat special experience of having 5 days with almost windless weather, except for our first day, where the trip went to the village Gjógv. There is the northernmost settlement on the island of Eysturoy, which is the Faroe Islands' second largest island.
In addition to the village having a bench that Crown Princess Mary once sat on, it is probably the natural harbor that is the village's number one tourist destination, and then one must not forget the opportunity to hike up the mountain, from where the bird mountain can be seen. When we were there, however, it was blowing too hard to walk on the outer edge of the mountain.
The natural harbor is located between some very steep and rugged rock walls and is shaped like a long gorge, from which it is possible to pull the boats ashore, by a very sloping chute.
Popular Faroe Islands posters
This nature poster with the harbor in Gjógv, together with the other posters and posters with beautiful pictures from the small island kingdom in the North Atlantic, has become very popular. You do not have to be Faroese to be captivated by the pictures from the Faroe Islands. They can just as well be used as posters in the living room of any home, as they fit nicely with a Nordic decor, which is often the preferred home decor, in Scandinavia.
