It has always been the intention that we should have a gallery with pictures and posters from Copenhagen. We love going out and photographing in big cities, so while we've spent time in New York, Berlin and several other big cities, it's as if we've "forgotten" our own capital.

But luckily it's over now.

We have simply moved to Copenhagen in order to photograph the city all over! - No, of course it doesn't fit. We have moved to Copenhagen because it is something we have dreamed of for many years. You know, the one with - the children leave the nest, and then the old people have to live life.

Well, regardless of why we've moved to the city, it's Sluseholmen we've moved to, so it offers endless opportunities to take a lot of pictures. And then it's a bit difficult to choose which motifs we thought we would sell as posters and pictures for the walls. It is somehow easier when we visit Budapest or Verona.

We would prefer to show the world's cities from a slightly different angle than the most well-known tourist attractions. That's how it's always been at PLAKATfar. Not that there is anything wrong with pictures of tourist attractions, we just thought that there is more exciting in the slightly more unknown streets. And that is perhaps exactly what makes photography in Copenhagen a little difficult, because we know the city inside and out (we lived here for 10 years before we spent the usual "childhood years" in the suburbs)

But now we are back in Copenhagen

POSTER Father has always dreamed of independence. A kind of retirement savings that will make it possible to travel the world and take pictures, which we then sell through our online poster shop.

The first step was when we set up our poster shop back in 2016. After that, of course, there have been many small steps on the way to what PLAKATfar is today - and many trips out into the world😀 - but the actual step two was when we moved from our terraced house in Birkerød to a smaller apartment in Copenhagen.

It's all about living a good life. Not letting life get too much involved in work. We make time for each other, a dinner at the local shawarma bar and a G&T on the roof terrace - because we got one like that too. 100 sqm private roof terrace with a view of the city's rooftops. How blistering is that?!

Back to the posters and pictures of Copenhagen

We love to walk and we especially love to walk through the city streets. We often take the harbor bus, which in itself is a pure Zen experience, into the center of Copenhagen, and then go home, through the city's neighborhoods and cozy streets. A single draft beer and a slice of pizza is also often enough. After all, you get both hungry and thirsty from all that walking.

12-15 km is not unusual on a Saturday or Sunday, and of course we almost always have the camera over our shoulder. Sometimes we don't get to take a single picture and other times we experience so much that we come home with a sea of ​​pictures.

From the many pictures, we are now collecting our gallery which we call "Copenhagen Posters". Here you will find pictures from the Danish capital, which we hope show new angles on our beautiful city. Of course, we also hope that there is someone who likes them so much that they would like to have them hanging on their walls in the living room, bedroom or somewhere else.
