Super nice city poster with the iconic roof of the Sydney Opera House. The black and white poster is a tribute to the building designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon. We were so lucky to visit Sydney in the fall of 2018 when our son was studying in the city and here we got many pictures to take home.

The Sydney Opera House, designed by the famous Danish architect Jørgen Utzon. The characteristic roof, which consists of a series of tiled curved shells, shaped like sails in different sizes, is a big part of the reason why the building has become world famous.
The building is located at the head of Circular Quay, which is the heart of the most populated and touristy area of Sydney Harbor. With its protruding location, it is one of the first things tourists see from the large cruise ships being towed into the cruise quay.
What can be difficult to see in the picture is that the cladding on each sail consists of thousands of small brick-fired tiles, in white and cream. The tiles are from the Swedish Höganäs, and have been sold in the retail store in Denmark for many years.
The poster is part of the series "Frames", which is characterized by a wide white border that encloses and frames the motifs and thus emphasizes the exclusive.
You can choose three different frames for the poster, but for me there is no doubt that it is the narrow black aluminum frame that fits best. Of course, you decide for yourself - and you can also choose to buy the poster in a roll.
