In the Faroe Islands there are cliffs - many cliffs. It's really just taking the camera out and snapping, and then you have a picture of some rocks. Still, there is something particularly beautiful about the cliffs at the outermost point, which you get to when you take the hike west, through the narrow valley, where there is only passage at low tide. Here the rocks sanded in soft shapes, of weather and wind through thousands of years.

On our photo trip to the Faroe Islands in 2018, we came a long way on the beautiful islands, and among other things. we passed the village of Saksun, located up north of the island of Streymoy. Here, on good days at low tide, you can walk all the way, through a gorge, out to the Atlantic Ocean, and sigh if we were not lucky. The day we passed it was incredibly shallow, so there was a whole highway to walk on. Right out at the outermost point, by the sea, there are some rock formations, with a very special look. They have been sanded by the sea, into soft round shapes and at the same time they have been split crosswise, with deep joints. They are incredibly beautiful and I have chosen to show them in close up and black and white so you can clearly see the shapes.
