Plakatfar also decorates institutions

In addition to selling posters through our online shop, Plakatfar also supplies larger quantities of posters to public institutions such as schools and care centres. One reason we’re often chosen for these projects is our extensive collection of nature posters and prints from across Denmark – and the fact that we can deliver them already framed.

So if you need posters and prints for your school, kindergarten, care home, or any other institution, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re both able and eager to help – from selection to composition – and our production capacity ensures that large orders are never a problem.

Payment by EAN number

We’ve built a solid base of public clients, partly because it’s so easy to order and pay by EAN. Simply email us at info@plakatfar.dk with the posters you want and the EAN number to include on the invoice. We’ll handle the rest and begin production right away.

Rolled or framed – you decide

Beyond our large catalogue, you can have any of our posters delivered in high-quality, solid frames, with your choice of glass or acrylic glazing. Institutions usually prefer acrylic – it’s safer in case a frame ever takes a fall.

Although we’re “just” talking about posters, delivering to public clients is a very different type of project. Not because they’re public, but because the number and scale of posters are typically much larger than for private customers. We’re also often involved in selecting and curating the artworks – which, honestly, is the fun part.

The process of reviewing motifs and choosing combinations gives us a chance to see our own collection with fresh eyes – and often sparks new ideas for future sets.

Othello Care Centre

One of our major projects was decorating parts of the Othello Care Centre in Fredericia. It began as a collaboration with one department, where we curated two gallery walls with a total of 23 posters. It was a lovely process, with staff and residents choosing the motifs together. Many of the selected pieces came from our nature poster and Denmark collections.

The first delivery had barely arrived before the next department called – and then the next, and the next.

Of course, there were a few repeat choices among the posters, but the project gave us the chance to showcase much of our growing selection.

Language Centre Skive

Another enjoyable project was decorating the rotunda at Sprogcenter Skive. The school needed four very large images to hang high up in the circular space, so we created four canvas prints, each measuring 2 x 2.5 metres.

We chose canvas because paper prints can’t be framed effectively at sizes above 100 x 140 cm – and as it turned out, the result looked both elegant and exclusive. A win-win, really.

My name is Niels Kliim. I am the main man behind the site PLAKATfar.dk, where we mainly sell pictures and posters with motifs from the places we travel and visit. Over time, I have also started to describe the same places, as inspiration, for all of you who found it exciting to read along. And that's included time has passed and turned into a small travel blog. All images and texts are mine and may not be reproduced without permission. However, you are welcome to link to my content.
