The summer 29018 we spent in Norway, where we had decided to go on a fishing and photo trip. Photo trip for my own sake and fishing trip to lure the youngest of 16 on a summer trip, probably for the last time.
The fishing went really bad. Despite following all the advice and guidance we received from friends and family, as well as local Norwegian recreational fishermen, we caught nothing. We even ended with an hour's hike into a mountain lake, where there are said to be plenty of fish. We did not catch anything there either! However, we took comfort in the fact that on the whole trip we did not meet a single Norwegian who had caught anything. Not even within the last period. there are probably just no more fish in Norway;)
It went so significantly better with the photography. But it is also easy once you have moved out into the Norwegian nature. You can basically just press the camera's shutter button, then you are sure to have a just about any subject. The trip went more specifically to the area around Bergsjø in Buskerud, where we had found a ski center where we could stay cheap - probably because there is not so much snow to lure with at this time of year. Three people in a two-storey apartment, with room for six, it was reasonable luxury. This Norway poster, was one of the results.
