Oak frames are among the most popular classics within frames, and there are probably many reasons for that. Firstly, it is of course because many people find it a beautiful way to surround or frame their art, for the wall. Secondly, fashion is of course also an important factor in interior design, and here the direction "New Nordic" is still valid. In "New Nordic" it is about bringing nature into our living rooms. And what is more obvious than to surround ourselves with things made of solid wood, which our oak frames are.

Because our oak frames are made from “real” wood, you will find that no two frames are exactly alike. Preserved, if you hang several next to each other, it is not something you think about. But the grain patterns and the beautiful and warm red-brown sound in the oak will vary slightly from frame to frame, and this is probably also part of the explanation for the oak frame's popularity in Nordic interior design.

Gold frames 50x70 cm

We also call gold frames brass frames or golden frames, because it's not about gold ;) Regardless of what we, or you, choose to call it, it's a super nice metal frame with a nice shiny golden surface. The edges of our "gold frame" 50x70 are made in slim metal profiles with a width of only 9 mm, ensuring an elegant and exclusive framing of your posters and pictures for your walls. Get your 50x70 frame in black

Our black frames are a bit of a hit with our customers. We ourselves are very enthusiastic about black poster frames, and thought, for example, that the black aluminum frames fit almost perfectly with PLAKATfar's black-and-white pictures and posters.

Our black wooden frames of 50x70 cm are made of a solid wooden core with a black painted surface. You therefore get a black wooden frame with a delicious exclusive look, in that you can sense the grain patterns from the wood through the black paint. The black picture and poster frames are very classic and individual and fit fantastically with almost all motifs. So you'll never go wrong in the city with them. White frames 50x70

We can of course also offer white frames for your new posters and pictures for your walls. In our range you will find an elegant slim white metal frame of 50x70 cm made of aluminium, and a beautiful warm white wooden frame which, according to some of our customers, has a touch of antique look. White frames frame your photos and art with incredible ease, especially if you have white or light walls. If you hang white-framed pictures on a dark wall, for example one in a contrasting colour, it will naturally stand out more than on a white wall. But it is still lighter in expression than picture frames of 50 x 70 cm in black.

Cheap 50 x 70 Frame

It can always be discussed whether a frame is cheap - because what is cheap? It is perhaps more relevant to see what you get for your money, because there is a big difference between the manufacturing method and the materials e in the individual frames. For example, there is a very big difference between whether a frame is made of solid wood, or whether it is made of an mdf core onto which something that looks like a wooden structure, but which is actually foil or plastic, is glued.

At Plakatfar you get oak frames in solid wood, which means that the frame profiles are cut from one piece of wood. We thought that was the right way to make a frame. You should be aware that very cheap "oak frames" can be made of plastic or as an mdf core with a glued-on foil or thin veneer. There is nothing wrong with that as such, they just don't have the same deliciousness about them as a solid oak frame, which also brings the smell of wood into your home.

Basically we don't sell cheap 50x70 frames our quality frames cheap. You can often find a light or dark oak frame, white frames or one of our other frames of 50x70 or 70x50 if horizontal on offer.

Get your picture frame in 50x70 with glass

When you buy PLAKATfar's 50x70 cm frames, you will automatically be sent frames with glass as the front, and it is thus the largest frame where glass is standard. Larger frames we send, standard, mounted with acrylic, due to the transport. The largest of our poster frames can of course be supplied with glass if you wish. For many of our customers, glass is the "right thing", while others like the acrylic front because their 50x70 framed pictures don't weigh so much when they have to be hung up. It's entirely up to you what you choose ;)

Large frames for posters

If you are going to pick up posters and hang them on the wall, it often requires a slightly larger frame, which is why we often refer to our poster frames 50 x 70, and larger, as poster frames. You can of course use our frames for whatever you want. And since they are changeable frames, you can also use your frame again and again, and change the content exactly as you like.

Change frames

All our 50x70 frames are made as a changing frame or photo frame, which means you can reuse them again and again when you want to change posters in the bedroom, living room or a of your other rooms. All 50x70 picture frames come with a glass front.

You can advantageously hang a few posters on the wall in the living room, in size 50x70, or you can combine a 50x70 cm frame with pictures in frames of other sizes. Our frames are not the cheapest

At Plakatfar, we place great emphasis on quality, and this means that you will always be able to find cheaper poster frames elsewhere. For example, frames 50x70 from Foetex, Harald Nyborg or frames from Jutland are probably cheaper than ours. This is because we only sell frames that are made of solid wood throughout, and this is not always the case with the cheapest frames. Whether you're into one type or the other - it's a matter of taste :)

Feel free to combine the frames

It is quite normal to choose the same frames if you are out to buy new posters, but you do not have to limit yourself to that. You can have two or three different types of frames hanging next to each other, especially if the frames are instead, each separately, bought so that they fit the pictures perfectly. We know that it is one of the rarities that you have different frames when you hang two or three pictures or posters, measuring 50x70 cm, next to each other. But if it is about a picture wall, then it is quite natural to vary the appearance of the frames. Here you easily mix a picture frame of 50x70 cm in black with, for example, old antique gold frames and perhaps a few white metal frames. That's part of the charm. When you work with a picture wall or a gallery wall, as some call it, it is the overall impression that creates the whole.

Hanging frames?

You probably don't think that this is the frame you need to hang up. You normally think where and how should I hang my picture, but the bracket for hanging is on the frame, so now we include it here. For example, if you are creating a picture wall, or if you have two or three posters that you would like to hang next to each other, there is always something to take into account. Are the frames the same size? Are they made of different material? How high should the pictures be hung? Should they perhaps stand on the floor - the latter is most relevant if it is large pictures, from approx. 50 x 70 cm and above, that you need to decorate with.
