When the silence sets in in the Faroe Islands, there is complete silence. This day at Trøllkonufingur there was not much sound from the sea, and the low dense cloud cover that surrounded the nature, gave a completely intense experience of being one with nature. The Faroe Islands have some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever experienced. They also have a very changeable weather, and the motif on this particular poster is a beautiful combination of beautiful nature and foggy weather.
We were actually on our way to the airport to fly home to Denmark, but then we saw the island of Koltur shrouded in clouds, and therefore we turned the car and drove out onto the mountain south of the village Sandavágur, from where we hiked to the extreme point. And from here we, in addition to pictures of the island of Koltur, also saw and photographed this beautiful torn bird mountain called Trøllkonufingur, shrouded in a fluffy fog.
This Faroese poster really shows the Faroese's at once beautiful and raw nature, from one of its most beautiful sides.
