The Wadden Sea and the huge area around the Wadden Sea is one of those places that just gives and gives and gives nature experiences. We spent a few days during the Prayer Day holiday, in a car, where we drove around and looked at Wadden Sea experiences. With accommodation in Esbjerg.
On the way to Rømø, over the dam, we came when the tide had pulled the sea back, so the seabed was bare as far as the eye could see. When the water is gone, you can see the many poles that have been hammered into the seabed, as part of the coastal protection, from ancient times. The poles were to help hold on to the bottom, as protection against storm surge.
Now the poles just stand and look great, reminding us of the story.
