On our trip to Sydney in the fall of 2018, we visited quite a few of the countless nature parks located in and just outside the city. One of the most beautiful is the one located on North Head, which is connected to the Manly district, on the north side of Sydney Harbor.
For a native Australian it is not certain that it is such an exciting park, but for us tourists there is an absolutely fantastic and different animal and plant life. Here we saw some colorful parrots and other exotic birds, just as we came across a proper bass of a hedgehog that made our son jump up in the air in fright - he is 25 years old 😀
The park stretches up to the outermost point, right where Sydney Harbor becomes the Tasman Sea, and here a large platform has been built from which it is possible to spot humpback whales when it is season for the big animals to swim either south. for the summer, or north to overwinter.
From the lookout point, there is also a beautiful view down to the sea surface, far below, where the waves crash against the vertical cliff sides, and it is precisely that look, to the surface of the Tasman Sea that you can see in this beautiful image.
