It is not possible to run a store without leaving its mark on the environment. But there is no reson not to leave as few marks as possible.
That's why we print on FSC-labeled environmental paper and only use wooden frames made of FSC-labeled wood. It is your assurance that the products come from sustainable production
We print in Denmark and your posters will only be printed when you order. In addition, we only use water-based pigment inks that have a very long shelf life.
At PLAKATfar, it's not about selling as many posters as possible. Every single motif is therefore carefully selected and processed, by ourselves.
We print exclusively on 230 gr. matt paper. It may not tell you much, but when you have it in your hands, you have no doubt about the quality. The strong paper ensures that the posters do not curl in the frame.
Our frames are made of the best materials, and in a high quality level. The wooden frames are of course made of solid wood, which gives you both a beautiful vivid framing of your pictures, and our oak frames will fill your living room with the scent of freshly cut wood.

Vores rammer
In the Faroe Islands, the weather can change drastically, from minute to minute. On cloudy days, it is often experienced that, for short periods, the sun and the blue sky are opened up so that the sun's rays can reach the earth. On the way to the ground, the light is refracted in the mist's damp haze, which marks the most beautiful luminous streaks in the sky. A beautiful poster from the Faroe Islands.

This poster, with a wildly beautiful natural phenomenon, was taken close to the village of Funningur.
In 2018, we traveled around the Faroe Islands to do some photo work for a customer and of course also to explore the islands. We have never regretted it. The Faroe Islands are one of the most beautiful places we have visited, populated by friendly Faroese who are easy to get in touch with and who would like to talk to someone.
One of our trips went to the small village Gjógv, where we bla. experienced such strong winds that we had to give up a trip up to the bird mountain, for fear of being blown into the sea. But enough about that.
The trip to Gjógv
On the way back from our trip to Gjógv, we were greeted by a completely amazing sight, where the sun's rays had found a hole in the thick gray cloud cover, and thereby illuminated a flat ledge, on one of the mountains located around the village Funningur. Then it should just go fast with stopping the car - and here it is a huge advantage with the very limited traffic on the Faroese roads - and get out with the camera at a cave speed. The project succeeded and this, almost entirely religious image, came out of it.
Frame or not
As with all other posters in the store, you can buy this one in many sizes, from 15x21 cm, which is the same as A5, and up to 70x100 cm. If you are completely crazy and want it in 100x140 cm, write to me.
You are also free to choose whether you want your items delivered in a frame or in a roll. If you choose a frame, your poster will be delivered to the door, in safe packaging, ready to unpack and hang on the wall.
Personally, I thought this poster with the celestial light over the rocks and the fjord, by Funningur, fits really well in an oak frame, but you can also choose black or white aluminum. It is, of course, taste and pleasure.

Virkelig lækker italiensk ramme i eg, der på en gang stå med skarpe kanter, men også har en lækker blød overflade. Træet er naturligvis FSC certificeret, så der er sikkerhed for at det ikke stammer fra ulovligt fældet træ.
