One day, on my way home by car from Hillerød, I passed this meadow on Lyngevej, which I somehow felt very attracted to. But it's not just the waterfall that is worth looking at. The whole scenery with the roaring Atlantic Ocean beating its waves up off the raw cliff sides, giving one obscure drone after another, testifies to the untamed forces the sea contains. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe were there on a quiet but foggy day that gave the most beautiful pictures of the yellow-clad mountain sides that harmonize with the beautiful green shades that are in the sea. We got an opportunity to visit the beautiful islands, in connection with a photo job, and after that trip I would very much like to recommend a trip to the Faroe Islands. It's easy and it can be cheap if you book tickets well in advance. There are many beautiful, and sometimes raw, places in the Faroe Islands. There are also many roads, which makes it very easy to get around, so on a trip of 5-6 days you can really get to see a lot. It is impossible not to like the country where the inhabitants are just absolutely amazingly friendly and helpful. One of the days we went on a trip to the village of Saksun, which is located up north on the island of Streymoy. In addition to the beautiful church, where we had lunch, there is the opportunity for a nice walk, along the river, out to the Atlantic Ocean. When I write opportunity, it means that it can only be done when the water level is favorable, and it was to that extent the day we were there. We had a whole highway of dry sandy bottom to walk on, and then it was no problem to reach all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. However, we had the somewhat special experience of having 5 days with almost windless weather, except for our first day, where the trip went to the village Gjógv. There is the northernmost settlement on the island of Eysturoy, which is the Faroe Islands' second largest island.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition to the village having a bench that Crown Princess Mary once sat on, it is probably the natural harbor that is the village's number one tourist destination, and then one must not forget the opportunity to hike up the mountain, from where the bird mountain can be seen. Then it should just go fast with stopping the car - and here it is a huge advantage with the very limited traffic on the Faroese roads - and get out with the camera at a cave speed. Despite following all the advice and guidance we received from friends and family, as well as local Norwegian recreational fishermen, we caught nothing. However, we took comfort in the fact that on the whole trip we did not meet a single Norwegian who had caught anything. Not even within the last period. there are probably just no more fish in Norway;)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt went so significantly better with the photography. But it is also easy once you have moved out into the Norwegian nature. You can basically just press the camera's shutter button, then you are sure to have a just about any subject. The trip went more specifically to the area around Bergsjø in Buskerud, where we had found a ski center where we could stay cheap - probably because there is not so much snow to lure with at this time of year. Three people in a two-storey apartment, with room for six, it was reasonable luxury. I first had to meet again in the evening, so I had the whole day off. A cloudy cold November day. I had the camera with me in the hope of finding some good motives for my stock collection, and thought that I could always drive a trip out into the woods, now that I was so close to Rold Forest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs I said so done. After checking out from Comwell in Rebild, the trip went to Rold Forest without knowing that I would have one of the really great experiences an hour later.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI actually can not remember at all where I parked or anything from from the actual hike out into the woods, but it is sort of subordinate as well, as it is the moment when the clouds opened up and let the sun's rays penetrate to the forest floor. As the sun's rays warmed the moist forest floor, more and more haze rose from the ground and mingled with the haze the cold morning had created in advance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOf course, I snapped at the camera as the haze grew closer and closer and eventually rose all the way to the tops of the trees. And then all of a sudden, while the clouds are gathering again, and the sunlight can only just penetrate one last small opening in the gray mass of the sky, this wild moment arises.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt smokes and steams from the bottom of the forest, the condensed mist reaches all the way to the top of the trees and the concentrated sunbeam pushes all the way down through the condensed darkness of the pine forest, and the tall slender trunks of the trees stand like silhouettes against the powerful pillar of light - right in the middle the deep quiet of the forest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eQuite a few moments after the picture is taken, it's all over.
